- From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (/ oʊˌkɑːsioʊ kɔːrˈtɛz /; born October 13, 1989), also known by her initials as AOC, is an American politician and activist. She became the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district in 2019.

Ocasio-Cortez rođena je 13. oktobra 1989. u Bronxu, New York City (New York, SAD).[8] Njen otac Sergio Ocasio, po zanimanju arhitekt, također je iz Bronxa, a njena majka Blanca Ocasio-Cortez je iz Portorika.[9][10] Do svoje pete godine, živjela je s porodicom u Parkchesteru, novom gradu u jugoistočnom dijelu Bronxa.
